As part of the Big Green Week, Yateley Climate Action Network, Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust and Blackwater Valley Friends of the Earth are hosting a litter pick.
Barn Dance Fundraiser for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice
Yateley Walking Group is holding a barn dance to raise money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice on 16th October in Eversley Village Hall.
Come to our Arts & Crafts Fair!
We're hosting our first Arts & Crafts Fair! Come to the Darby Green Centre and playing fields, Darby Green Road, Blackwater GU17 0DT on Sunday 12th September from 10am to 2pm for a wide range of offerings from local Hampshire/Surrey artists and crafters selling bespoke, handmade and hand-crafted products. Enjoy delicious food, drinks, and great music. Speak to artists directly and take part in workshops to expand your creativity!
Celebrating our Local Heroes!
We'll be celebrating our Local Heroes at the Yateley & District Lions Club Summer Fayre on Monday 30th August. Come along to our marquee there to read the moving nominations of how residents have supported one another throughout the last 18 months, see photographs taken depicting Yateley's experience of lockdown & celebrate our amazing community!

Travellers within the parish
On Wednesday morning (21st July 2021), the Town Clerk and the Town Mayor had a very productive meeting with the Police Inspector for Hart, Jennifer Lovegrove, and the Hart District Council Community Safety Manager to review the handling of last weekend’s situation with the unauthorised traveller encampment in Yateley, and to discuss community concerns, preventative action and site security.
NEW! Saturday Market coming to Yateley
From Saturday 5th June 2021, a brand new weekly Saturday market is starting in Yateley Green!
yelabus - New Beginnings New Bus, New Drivers, New Hirers and New Board Members
yelabus is a local charity, part funded by Yateley Town Council, it has two air-conditioned modern minibuses that are fitted with tail lifts, available for hire to groups. It operates seven days a week. During the lockdowns you might have seen them delivering medical supplies.
Yateley turns out to clear up community
On Saturday 29th May over 40 residents of Yateley, Frogmore and Darby Green did their part to clean up their local area by taking part in a mass litter pick
Seasonal news from the heaths
Sarah Bunce shares an article about local heathland. The ground-nesting bird season is well under way, but the biggest thing on their minds at the moment is the threat of wildfire on local heaths like Castle Bottom and Yateley Common Country Park.
